Magnus Greel
Story: The Talons Of Weng-Chiang
Date: 1977
Costume Designer: John Bloomfield
Actor: Michael Spice

Notes: Made by costumiers "Bermanns & Nathans", the outer robe is made of black wool with oriental satin sewn on top for details. Bullion was used for the edging of the sleeves. Inside the collar is a "Bermanns & Nathans" label on which "Dr Who Mangus Greel Aka Wheng Chaiang" has been written.

After its use in Doctor Who , it featured in other productions, notably "The Elephant Man" in 1980. Later it was believed to have been used in the 1984-6 production of "Robin Of Sherwood" where the costume was (sadly) given a distressed appearance including removal of many of the satin panels and bullion cuffs.
